In the peace and quiet of the countryside lies the Locanda della Cucullera, where guests are given a warm welcome before entering the dining halls of Villa Magnolia, a fortified castle with two towers named after the secular ficus magnolia tree that dominate the lush plants in our garden. This is where traditional and modern cuisines merge into a unique blend of alluring tastes and flavours, embracing the very best to create special dishes of fish, fresh from the nearby Ionian Sea, and meat, all commonly found in the gastronomic traditions of Calabria and Tuscany. Furthermore, by virtue of harmony and the rhythm of the seasons, our chef uses fresh ingredients only, without further ado.In the old Tuscan fireplace at the centre of the main hall, we will prepare fish and Florentine steak for you over the coals, or meat and wild game roasted on the spit.The enoteca ranges from the most traditional wines of Calabria and Tuscany to those that are more renowned and sought after. These wines are aged in the underground wine vault, located below the right tower.The aim of our cooking is to offer everyone a splendid menu with prices affordable for every pocket. You will find the simplest dishes, typical of Calabria and Tuscany, and others that are better known and preferred. The produce we buy is grown by local agricultural farms near the villa, or supplied by local cooperative farmers with whom we are members, or from suppliers we personally know. We comply with the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI), to effectively track and trace the produce. The quality meats we serve come from different breeds of cattle such as Chianina, Limousine, Podolica, Charolaise, Angus and other herds, which are always specified on the menu, and if you need further information, our Maitre D will be only too glad to help. For a working breakfast, a business lunch, or a spectacular banquet, the Locanda della Cucullera will open its dining halls.For working dinners or groups of friends who wish to spend a relaxing evening out, the hall under the left tower is available. In summer, buffets and aperitifs can be arranged in the garden of the villa.Periodically, we organise concerts, exhibits, presentations and theatrical events. Nella quiete della campagna, la Locanda della Cucullera Vi accoglier nei saloni del nostro antico Castello chiamato anche Villa Magnolia dal nome del secolare albero di Ficus Magnolia che domina sulle altre rigogliose piante del nostro giardino. Tradizione e modernit sono unite in un unico fascino di gusti e di sapori grazie allabbraccio che cerchiamo di creare tra piatti di pesce del nostro Mare Jonio ed una cucina di carne che si richiama alla tradizione gastronomica calabrese e toscana. Il nostro cuoco rispetta ritmo ed armonia delle stagioni privilegiando ingredienti freschi e a km zero. Nellantico camino toscano, posto al centro del salone principale, prepariamo per Voi pesce alla brace, bistecche alla fiorentina, carni e cacciagione al girarrosto. Lenoteca spazia dai pi tradizionali vini calabresi e toscani a quelli pi rinomati e ricercati. I vini da invecchiamento vengono conservati nella cripta sotterranea posta sotto la torre destra.Obbiettivo della nostra cucina offrire un men elegante alla portata di tutti. Da noi potrete trovare piatti tipici della pi semplice cucina calabrese o toscana come altri pi ricercati o di tendenza. I prodotti che usiamo sono forniti dalla nostra azienda agricola che circonda la villa, o in alternativa, provengono da cooperative di agricoltori di cui siamo soci o da fornitori che conosciamo personalmente, il tutto per fornire la tracciabilit totale di ci che cuciniamo. Anche sulle carni scelte il nostro Matre o il men sapr sempre indicarvi con precisione se avete deciso di gustarne di razza Chianina, Limousine, Podolica, Charolaise o Angus di altri tipi ancora.Per le vostre colazioni di lavoro, i vostri pranzi d'affari o per un banchetto memorabile, la Locanda della Cucullera apre il suo salone.Per cene di lavoro o per gruppi di amici che desiderano trascorrere una serata pi intima potrete usufruire della sala posta sotto la torre sinistra della villa. In estate possibilit di buffet ed aperitivi nel giardino della villa. Periodicamente organizziamo concerti, esposizioni, presentazioni e commedie.
