An old 50’s ice cream cart, the beautiful Piazza della Repubblica in Pizzo Calabro, and a child called Pippo Callipo: these are the first three ingredients that compose the story of Gelateria Callipo, which is the story of a dream which has now become a splendid reality. In the Piazza children ate cones, tartufi and stuffed hazelnut gelato. Pippo Callipo was one of those children and he dreamed of, one day, producing those gelati, because he felt that that unique and treasured flavour should be shared all over the World. Today that dream has finally become reality, and with Gelateria Callipo and the experience of the Callipo family - obtained with 100 years of successful dedication to quality in the food industry - the antique traditions of Pizzo used for the production of exclusive and genuine products have been revived and the same extraordinary recipes of the past have finally been achieved and produced.
