The Corbella farm holiday is immersed in the wild and proud Mediterranean woods of Cicerale. This village, with antique origins dating back to the Middle Ages, is perched on a hilltop facing the valley of the Alento River. The motto on the town crest Terra Quae Cicera Alit (land which nourishes the chick peas) tells us that Cicerale is famous for its chick peas. The National Park of the Cilento and Diano Valley frames the Corbella farm. The name derives from Corb meaning rounded peak. In fact, still today, it echoes the antique fortress on Mount Saint Andrew, which was demolished in 1301. In the various scenes made up of generous gardens, of opulent orchards and of fertile hillsides of vineyards, figs and olives, Corbella welcomes you with its two farm houses built in the traditional style of the Cilento, complete with six comfortable rooms furnished with simple country charm.
