The Purperia da Zi Rafele is born in Carlo the 3rd Square, not far from the famous Foria Street, known for kiosks that, until a few years ago, offered Octopus soup, a street food that has its roots in a very ancient tradition. And it is starting from this Neapolitan delicacy that we decided to venture into a creative journey, exploring the planet Octopus. Here at Purperia of Zi Rafele, unique in its kind in Italy, we serve octopus in all ways and in all sauces. You can try it with potatoes and courgettes, in the classical way alla luciana; or you can taste our octopus salad or our personal recipe with eggplant and even with chickpeas or lentils. But if you want to be really surprised, ask our staff if there is something special and who knows what will be invented with the fish of the day.
