Today Pagnanelli offers the experience as restauranteurs of four generations. Still the same family running the restaurant founded by Giovanni Pagnanelli in 1882. A client recently commented the formula of Pagnanellis success is a cocktail of passion and creativity with every family member giving his contribution. In the sixties Aurelio Mariani (son of Lucia Pagnanelli) marries Jane Williams who leaves her career as an actress in classical theatre in Australia. For Jane and Aurelio their constant dedication along with their four sons encouraged them to constantly improve. Jane says that Pagnanelli is like a theatre, and as Shakespeare wrote: All the worlds a stage and all the men and women merely players.Details

I was staying outside of Rome during my last trip and found this hidden gem! Delicious food, extensive wine menu and free tour of the wine cellar. The owner and all staff were very kind. I highly recommend the gnocchi!

creative italian food and incredible wine selection. we were well looked after by the owner family including a tour of the extraordinary cellar by one of the sons . delightful family , delightful food and location ( and a Perth , Australia connection ! )
