Antica Taverna di Via di Monte Giorndano è un locale allegro dove si assaporano gusto e tradizione della cucina romanesca. Stile rustico ed informale, con le cartoline illustrate affisse un po’ ovunque.Oltre alle classiche specialità romanesche, come la trippa con la mentuccia, ci piace anche il fegato con cipolletta e alloro, la papera alle erbe e gli gnocchi fatti in casa. D’inverno il benvenuto si dà con un buon bicchiere bollente di vin brûlé. Le materie prime vengono quasi tutte dalla fattoria di famiglia. Buona carta dei vini, con circa 80 etichette. Non si paga il coperto.
TerribleWe have visited Rome regularly over the last 20 years and have often eaten here, sometimes on more than one occasion during our trip. We even held a 50th birthday party here 4 years ago.On our recent visit we were made to feel extremely unwelcome by the waiter. We sat outside under heaters which were so hot we were burnt. The food was awful, badly prepared and lacking in taste. The atmosphere was hostile , the house wine awful. We will never return and can not recommend this restaurant. Save your money and go to a place where you are made to feel welcome and where the food is edible.
