In the middle of a classic gentrification process, Monti has attracted an incredible number of independent projects focused on the quintessential millennial gastro-concerns of looking for organic ingredients, sustainable agriculture and responsible cooking. Via Urbana, in particular, seems to be a haven for these proposals and, between a 0 Km restaurant and a 100% raw dessert parlour one can find Aromaticus, a most original urban farming shop and healthy slow food bistro. The project is authored by a young couple, albeit a highly experienced one. Luca de Marco (Giulio Terrinoni’s L’Acquolina ) and Francesca Lombardi (Moreno Cedroni’s Il Clandestino) propose, along with extraordinary choices of tartare and carpaccio, a propaedeutic approach to the world of aromatic herbs (some well known, some more exotic) and urban gardening. A fresh and creative concept, the store itself is a radical-chic gem that will leave no one indifferent.

Ho sempre visto lo stesso menù, che è piuttosto costoso per essere uno shop che serve cibo dove devi sparecchiare e apparecchiare tu. Ho assaggiato il cous cous e la patata al cartoccio. Buoni eh, però andateci quando avete fatto una colazione alla tedesca verso le 11. Nel complesso, un bel posto radical dove andare a fare i radical, ma io preferisco comprarci le piante aromatiche quando mi sale la vena salutista.
