Food was ok for the money but the service was horrendous. Took the staff 15-20 mins to come take our order. Then another 15 mins to bring one of the drinks over had to ask again for the other drink. Starter came fairly quickly, we got the buff fried which was lovely.. but then we had another big wait for the mains. Basically I would give this place more if it wasn’t for the staff. I’ve worked in retail/ food service before and could understand if they were busy. But you’d ask one member of staff for something then you would see them doing something else that could wait i.e. stood behind the bar folding napkins.. Then you’d ask another member of staff incase the other forgot and then you’d have the same scenario.. eventually after asking for the bill 3 times from staff and seeing them clean tables (there were plenty of empty clean tables it could have waited for the 2 minutes it takes to print off and bring over the bill), fold napkins and go to other tables. We didn’t complain once whilst we were in there so it wasn’t as if we annoyed the staff so they were avoiding us. Wish I had complained now as I’ve never received such poor service on what was meant to be a nice little Valentine’s meal out.
By chance we stumbled across this gem whilst in Rome. Both the service and food were amazing. The concept is farm in Calabria to the table in Rome, refreshing experience after the standard Rome eateries. We ordered the buff fried and eggplant parmigiana to start and both were beautiful. For mains we had pork shoulder and risotto with buffalo mozzarella cream, as well as the buffalo burger, all were to die for! We also shared a beautiful wine and tasted some incredible olive oils (they use 35 different olive oils for their dishes!). Would definitely come back again!
We went here as part of our food tour. The restaurant is lovely and the staff are very friendly. They explained that all of their food comes from their family farm in the south of Italy. We got to try their bruscetta and their buffalo mozzarella. We bought some of their lemon olive oil which was delicious.
