This trattoria was for me the best restaurant where I was in Rome! Friendly and attentive service, which can help with selection. Great tagliata with arugula, chicken steak whith mashrooms and tiramisu. Tiramisu was ย bit sweeter, because cook’s grandmother is doing that.:)Good price performance ratio for two appetizers, two meals and a dessert with a liter of house wine for 60 euros
It’s a place where you can feel Roman tradition, great recipes and hospitality. We were seated upstairs and were offered a detailed explanation of the best wines to suit our meal from the selection of wines by the owner himself. The food was decadent and every bite was good tatse and quality. The melanzane is a mist try as well as the artichoke. The main dishes were as good as the appetizers. And my canelloni was the best dish I had since I arrived to rome. Its a nice place and leaves a good impression.
Questa osteria propone cibo tipico sia romano che abruzzese. Tutto di ottima qualitร e il personale molto gentile e disponibile, per essere in pieno centro, a due passi da piazza del Popolo, i prezzi sono nella norma.
Osteria Al Gran Sasso was close to my hotel during my stay in Rome and looked like a quaint Osteria with non-pretentious food.I ordered the Cacio e Pepe. ย A very simple dish made with pasta, and a sauce of Pecorino Romano and black pepper. ย The trick though, is to make it nice and saucy without heaviness. ย This was the best Cacio e Pepe during my stay in Rome. ย The sauce was creamy, the pepper was spicy, and the Pecornia was salty and pungent. ย My server was very attentive, but unfortunately there seemed to be a bit of micromanagement happening by the manager, which made several diners uncomfortable. ย I, a solo diner, seemed to be taking up valuable space for him, and two diners were actually asked to move tables so they could fit in a larger group. ย They weren’t impressed and muttered something under their breath that I couldn’t understand. The food was fantastic, but dining is more than food, it’s being brought into an experience, and unfortunately this experience wasn’t the best. ย Had this not occurred, they would have received a higher review.
