  • Better With Tala

Doveralu is right in front of our hotel so we thought we’d give it a try the place was packed we waited for too long to be served our food.. the salad came the fastest it was delicious can’t complain about that, the other plates we ordered was like “the days specialty dish” now here was the disaster the pasta is horrible they didn’t even give it time to become Al dente it’s hard to chew the beef that was in it had such a strong taste it ruined the whole dish I was about to gag, now the pizza the pizza crust was delicious however there’s so many other better and cheaper place to eat at, unfortunately the place is beautiful but the food is a huge No.

First restaurant in Roma but not first in Italy and I can tell you that there are waay better places to eat.The bruschettas were okay, pretty rawThe greek salad was good but lacked corn and carrotsThe pizza was pretty goodThe fettuccini was average.Waiters were friendly, but not all of them. Pricing fair.

We intended to indulge ourselves into some lavish dining on our first day at Rome. Doveralu was a minute walking from our hotel and is large restaurant with a huge bar at the entrance. The restaurant was beaming with people. The menu is compact we choose the following- Bianca con verdue and Lasagna alla Romana with a couple of beers. There is a moderate wait time for the dishes.Bianca con Verdue – pizza loaded with mozzarella cheese and mushrooms and limited quantities of zucchini and peppers. The pizza base was hard when served and the too much cheese was making the dish bland. We did not like the excessive use of mushroom which was cut in enormous size.Lasagna All Romana- the dish was tangy to taste due to excessive use of tomato puree. Also, the cheese was in moderate quantities and the taste is bland. The first dining experience at Rome was not like we had desired.
