THE FOOD Run by Salvatore Barberi, Passetto offers an array of typical dishes from the Italian and Roman tradition. We carefully select the best seasonal ingredients for our customers to offer a wide array of lush starters, delicious first and second courses, and an excellent choice of cakes. THE RESTAURANT The Restaurant is located opposite Piazza Navona. Its premises have been used for dining since 1912. A number of illustrious figures have eaten on its premises including Queen Elizabeth II, Charlie Chaplin, Grace Kelly, Salvador Dal, Liz Taylor, Vittorio Gassman, and Leonardo di Caprio. The refurbished restaurant features stonework from the original 16th-century palace and an Ancient Roman road in the wine cellar! THE CHEF RECOMMENDS As a starter, the check recommends the Steak Tartare with Egg Yolk and Parmesan Chantilly cream. As a first dish, the Gnocchi with Octopus or the Roman classic Cacio & Pepe. As a second course, the Roast Lamb on Melted Pecorino Cheese.
