Un piatto di pasta al volo? Ti trovi nel posto giusto,Passeggiando in via dei coronari una piccola pausa per un vero piatto di pasta, ottima qualità e servizio perfetto!!! Consigliato!!!
We went to this place on the recommendation of a friend who told us that, when living in Rome, this was one of the best places to buy pasta and piadinas to go. However, our experience was just dreadful. We asked for tonnarelli pasta with pesto sauce, but the pasta was served almost completely RAW. We could even see inside of the strand the uncooked flour! We talked with the cook who told us that tonnarelli was not a soft pasta and that it was al dente, and that this was the way people cooked it in Rome. However, we have showed him that the pasta was actually raw inside and we explained that al dente is not raw anywhere in Italy (where we have already been several times before). The cook maintained his position and aggressively replied that he would only exchange one of the plates free of charge and that we would have to pay for the other one. This made no sense to us, but we accepted the exchange of only one plate, as it was late and we were too tired and hungry to search for some other place and demand our money back. The waiter was astonished by the cook’s behavior but did not apologize on his behalf neither intervened in the situation. Instead, the waiter kept rolling her eyes at what the cook was saying.During the entire time we were there the cook kept rambling in Italian, quite rudely and the waiter kept rolling her eyes and looking uncomfortable in light of his behavior.Rome has the best places to eat. So please DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE. They tried to take advantage of the fact that we were turists to serve us raw pasta claiming that it was al dente, and they did not exchanged it – as they should have done -, well knowing that al dente does not mean raw: not in Venice, not in Florence, not even in Rome!Thankfully, during our stay, we did end up eating great pasta in other places, who showed us that we were not out of our minds and that raw is RAW in any part of the world 🙂
We visited this place being previously in Rome about 3 years ago and it was great, so we decided to go there again. It was huge disappointment. Eggplant sauce was horrible, all we could taste was vinegar from some pickled ingredient. Pecorino and mint sauce fortunately was only tasteless. Pasta itself was ok, but worse than it had been before. In addition place was far from being clean and the toilet was plain dirty.
