Went at night it’s was full , the guy gave me attitude and said we are full, decided to go again to check the nice rating, walked in and it was empty, same guy asked if I have reservation with bad attitude.finally he let me in. Bad walls, wooden cheap chopsticks. The waitress spoke good English and we nice. Ordered ceviche which was terrible for 13 euros, and 3 more rolls. Nothing was good , ended up paying 55 euros and feeling disappointed. Not a place for tourists for sure.
We were burnt out on eating pizza and pasta every single day, so I basically begged the partner to find somewhere else to eat. We ended up in Temakinho, and I think I was just so happy not to be in another regular Italian restaurant! We came here for lunch, as we heard that they can get very busy during dinner and we didn’t have a booking. The inside was really funky, air conditioned (thank god!) and had really groovy music playing. We were seated at the back and given English menus. We ordered three sushi rolls (8 pieces each) and they were really delicious. Personally I found the flavour to be somewhat tame, I kind of expected more flavour explosion in regards to the special flavours like strawberry and salmon, and the Mexican sushi with jalapeños. It was very good, don’t get me wrong, but they were very tame to what you’d be expecting. The best part about this place is FREE WATER! I loathe the fact that you have to pay for water everywhere in Europe, especially considering back home in Sydney everywhere practically is obliged to give you free water. Free refills of still and mineral water certainly makes this place a top pick in my books. The staff were friendly, especially at the end when both our cards wouldn’t read in the machine, they were nice to let me wait while my partner went to grab some cash from the ATM. Overall definitely a good pick if you are dying to eat something different in Rome, but make sure to book if you’re coming for dinner!
A discover, this is Temakinho to me. I is not just a Japanese restaurant but a perfect mix of cultures. I have never tasted before Brasilian cuisine and I personally found this variation interesting and palatable. I have enjoyed each recipe and I believe Temakinho found a way to render sushi, sashimi maki and nigiri never boring and tempting the carnivorous too. The atmosphere is pleasant and theplace cozy.I think I have fallen in love.
