This restaurant was right below our Airbnb apartment across from piazza del popolo and was super convenient when looking for meals, toddler in tow. We loved their focaccia (must order, for 3 euro u get a humungous portion) , the cacio Pepe and the fennel orange salad. The service is very friendly, we even requested takeaway focaccia another time for our toddler and they happily obliged even when they were busy with other patrons during lunchtime.
This restaurant is just next to the Flaminio metro station. Seemed like a good bet for quick lunch. But boy, we’re grossly mistaken.The ambiance is okay, we saw a few tables occupied by people who looked like locals. The server came up to us and started talking in Italian, no one could really speak or understand English at all. Also the menu was in Italian.Finally managed to convey that we’d like a mushroom pizza without meat. While we eat meat, we couldn’t communicate well so didn’t want to take the chance. The pizza was thoroughly bland and soggy.Lastly charged us 10 E instead of 7, stating that we should pay them a special anniversary tip, as it was their 30th anniversary. ~50% in forced tips. We refused to pay.
All’Orsetto ho assaggiato solo il menu a base di pizza. Il prezzo è molto competitivo: con 10 euro è compresa la bruschetta, la pizza, la bibita e il caffè. Per essere un locale centrale è sicuramente un’ottima scelta in virtù del suo buon rapporto qualità -prezzo. C’è anche un buon servizio.
