"Perbacco" is the Italian equivalent of "By Jove" in English, but the reference to Bacchus, the god of winemaking, is hardly coincidental for this well-appointed wine bar-cum-restaurant in the heart of Bormio. Perbacco is a favorite hangout and rendez-vous point after a day on the slopes, hiking, golfing or even an afternoon at the spa. In the relaxed atmosphere of this family-run business, in what used to be the laundry of the 15th-century Anzi Palace, you can treat yourself to a well-deserved glass of wine. The cellar contains over 400 Italian and international wine labels. In his effort to take wine-bar fare to a whole new level, te owner Fabrizio has developed a menu of creative cuisine complementing the local Valtellina specialities that you can order till late at night. The average check is 35 Euro, excluding the wine, and you are welcome to take any unfinished bottle with you. Pets are allowed. Weekly closure on non-holiday Mondays. Reservation recommended
