The main point of this place is its great position on Mantua’s central square, overlooking the ducal palace, cathedral and archbishop’s palace. No surcharge for seating. Good, not unreasonably-priced coffee – the bill for two doppios and a risino tart came to €7.50.
This small outdoor bar has two lives. It is excellent for breakfast and good for a late drink to end the day. Wine by the glass is cheap and service is efficient and delivered with a smile.
