This is food orgasm at its best! A feast for the senses and great showcase of Chef Berton’s culinary skills. This is one fine dining establishment where you don’t end the evening feeling hungry after a Dégustation meal, even after copious consumption of bread. There was 14 courses from the amuse-bouche through to Petits fours! It was well worth the €120 for the tasting menu. The sommelier recommended a lovely bottle of Franciacorta to accompany our dinner.I was very appreciative of the fact that the chef took careful note of my Crustacea allergy and nut intolerance and made changes to the menu accordingly. If you’re in Milan, give this restaurant a go! I reckon it should be a two Michelin stars instead of a one star!
La location di Berton in Viale della Liberazione è molto luminosa, grazie alla luce che filtra attraverso le pareti a vetri e l’arredamento è di design, in linea con l’edificio in cui è ubicato il ristorante. I toni del beige, le numerose luci e i dettagli in legno rendono il locale davvero accogliente. Tra le specialità del menu si segnalano i ravioli di zucca con brodo di manzo, baccalaÌ€ mantecato con crema di guacamole e paprika, pepite di patate spezie e nero di seppia. Grande protagonista della carta è il brodo che, in tante varianti e nobilitato a vero e proprio piatto, valorizza l’essenza stessa di ogni ingrediente.
