Pleasant restaurant with friendly service and a nice choice of grilled meats, pasta, and pizza at reasonable prices. The dishes are good, but I’m sorry to say nothing we sampled was particularly remarkable. Lardo on crostini would have benefited from less crostini and more lardo coverage of the crostini – though overall taste of the dish was great. Beef quality was quite good and nicely marbled, but surprisingly lacked the flavor and umami that sets apart a great steak. Pizza is a somewhat thicker crust than typical, and a bit heavy on cheese, though nice tasting. Oven roasted potatoes were a creamy texture with nicely browned edges, but tasted stale, as though cooked much earlier in the day. All in all, a nice meal, and I’ll likely return, but I’ll wish for just a bit more.
