Welcome to the "Osteria La Rava e la Fava", our family-run restaurant. "Raccontare la rava e la fava" is an italian idiomatic expression diffused in our region, Lombardia, that means "to indulge in telling every little detail". This expression clearly derives from the peasant's jargon: the "rava" and the "fava" are vegetables and they could spend hours telling the property and secrets from the genuine food. We celebrate every day this saying trough the many details in our dishes, adding passion and expertise. Our cuisine is based on the quality of raw materials, and selected from the best italian regional productions, including some of theSlow Food Presidia and the best meat available. In the kitchen, for cooking we use butter and extra virgin olive oil (no margarine). For the seasoning on the table you can choose amongst oils from different Italian regions, including organic oils.
