Located in the historic center of Grammichele, a few meters from the famous hexagonal square, the restaurant "Il Rustico" is located on the ground floor of an old building of late nineteenth century. Its location is ideal for those who want to visit the square, the museum, the archaeological park of "Occhiolà " or the nearby town of Caltagirone, and they are looking for a peaceful resting spot has a traditional and homemade cooking. Among the various specialties, our chef's proposals are: the dough with mozzarella, pasta with Rustico's sauce, stuffed rabbit and the famous grammichelese's sausage. You can also enjoy typical local dishes such as Occhiolà pie ("our typical holiday's pasta": durum wheat covered with ricotta cheese baked in a traditional pot passed down from generation to generation), fresh pasta with our field's herb, pappardelle with pork sauce (prepared and cooked with ancient method with abstract tomato raw own production) or the delicious pork jelly, accompanied by the most prestigious Sicilian wines. The tasty desserts, refined and often made with ricotta cheese or almonds, are the highest expression for guests who want to taste a piece of Sicilian tradition and the Grammichele's region. For the evening, the restaurant still offers classic recipes of national and international cuisine revisited, such as homemade pizza, piadina stuffed in various ways, and fluffy pancakes. Finally, on demand we organize lunches or dinners with fresh seafood. The quality and authenticity of the dishes are guaranteed by choosing the best organic and local products, many of which are generated or grown organically and traditional by the chef and owner Giuseppe Mammana. The family management offers courtesy, availability and professionalism. The B&b "Il Rustico" enjoys the highest classification for the type of structure, which is the three stars rating. The palace of the late nineteenth century is a property of family Mammana and was recently renovated according to the most modern and advanced technologies and standards on safety. On the ground floor you can find the restaurant and in the second floor the B&b.
