About
It was in the year 1946 when Don Turiddu Rizza, called Turiddu Rampa, a wine merchant, discovered the old "NCantina do ZU Orazio"- The "NCantina" in Siracusa was the place where wine was used to drink and men play cards and only a few Ncantine had a kitchen and offered hot meals. Don Turiddo's NCantina was famous for fish dishes. The dishes of popular tradition were always available: the boiled egg, the sardines, the caponata, eggplant parmigiana, the cheese, the dried tomatoes, the olivesDetails

We found this restaurant by chance and were entranced by its courtyard type setting. The menu is limited and hence only four stars. But the food is good. I thoroughly recommend the antipasto Rustica and any pasta dish. The house wine is also good.
A gorgeous location and nice place settings made us think we were in for a treat – but it was just standard crappy Italian fare, albeit served in a nice place. Great location, good service, wack food. Shame!

This could be a great place. TuckJed away in a cute niche great ambiance. Appetizers quite good. Main meal average to below average. 2 pastas of the day and 1 of the shrimp and pumkin(don’t!).
