The Barrino: a joyful place Just opposite from Albergo Posta Marcucci and up the steps to a square enjoying a magnificent view, the Barrino stands alone and proud. Originally a two floored house it was transformed into a lounge bar, the fame of which extends well beyond the Siena region. The skilled hands of waiters and waitresses shake the best of cocktails and serve all with a smile and a chat to the accompaniment of chill background music. The Barrino is much more than a bar; it is a vibrant meeting point for the valley of Val d'Orcia where homesteads and small villages are spread wide and far. On warmer days the area in front of Barrino is laid out with small tables and is a hive of activity, whereas on the colder days it is the warmth of the bar area itself to attract guests in search of conviviality and a refreshing drink or two.
