Here you can breathe the history of this place, where many years ago contrymen with their horses stopped to eat and relax, looking at the beatifull hills called " Colline Lucchesi ". Even now you can find the same welcome. Not far from the medieval Walls of Lucca, you'll find thia antique place, full of green, where you can taste dishes of Lucca tradition. We recently had dinner at this very nice local restaurant. The ambiance and food was great, lots of locals which implies the food is good. Reasonably priced, the mixed grill plate was great.
A lovely meal in a local restaurant in the village of Meati, near Lucca. The atmosphere and menu choices were excellent.
This place is very popular at the weekends with locals but much quieter in the week. The food to good hearty Italian but limited and not the usual tourist fair. Good value for money.
Visited with a large group of friends, we had a fantastice time, great food. There is a fine selection of wines if the house wine is not to your taste. If you are in Lucca, visit Meati.
