The restaurant Giovannino's is a famil-run restaurant, situated in the calm of the Umbrian hills 4 kms from Assisi. To reach the restaurant you can take the ss444 street to Ponte Grande. From "Porta Perlici" Assisi's door, you will be in restaurant in 5 minutes by car. Ample free parking lot. To this day our strong point has been the local specialities: handmade tagliatelle, meat which we still grill on the open fire accompanied by Umbria's most famous dish, 'torta al testo', a type of thick,soft,flat bread baked on the hearth. The 'torta al testo' that we make is not the traditional recipe that everyone knows, but is in fact a recipe thought up by Aurora, Giovannino's wife. Another ours popular dish is coratella, (stewed lamb) Our secret to prepare good dishes, is always use fresh ingredient without artificial colourants or preservatives.
