About
At da Arman you enjoy their wines and dishes with this authentic and generous history. The history is all there, embedded in these arches, between these friendly walls that are embracing and welcoming you. Breathe it in. This place is the fruit of the loving efforts of our discreet, unaffected people, who embody the flavours, the genuine flavours of our nearby rolling hills of Treviso. This inn was first opened by Iseppo Arman in 1872, just eleven years after the birth of Italy. These are the times of Vittorio Emanuele II, of Giuseppe Garibaldi and of Edmondo De Amicis. 1870 falls Porta Pia and in November 1871 Rome becomes the capital of Italy. It is in this newborn Italy that Arman opens. The idea is right and successful. The quarter around Via Manzoni is a hive of activity. Just a few metres away we come across the convent of San Francesco, a little further on we find the Canossian Institute and the church of S. Maria Maddalena with the adjacent old peoples home.
