Our main building and gardens are almost 250 years old. All of our facilities and gardens are registered with the cultural properties of Takayama City. You can truly experience old Japan. The same family has maintained the restaurant for over 200 years. Our motto is that the owner should be the head chef of the restaurant. Currently, the 12th generation works diligently to prepare a verity of dishes. We would like you to enjoy our dishes and facilities with their uniqueness and slenderer through the various seasons. Several travel publications such as Michelin and Fodor's introduce Kakusho restaurant as the finest traditional Japanese restaurant in Takayama district.
