Naraya is a souvenir store and eatery situated in a marketplace known as Yumekaze Plaza just outside the Great Southern Gate (Nandaimon) of Todai-ji Temple. We welcome you with our varieties of Nara's specialties, sweets, and unique quality items. The kamameshi rice pot, Naraya's specialty dish, is individually prepared by slowly boiling aromatic okoge scorched rice and seasonal ingredients over an open fire. Please come and visit us to rest, dine and shop when you are near Todai-ji.
