The origin of the word Kakitsubata is derived from an ingredient "oyster", which our restaurant is particular about and a plant, which blooms purple flowers over May to June. The meaning of the flower is "happiness will come. Our restaurant, Kakitsubata wishes that the happiness will come to all the customers who come to our shop. Oysters are available in 18 varieties in the peak season from November to February, and more than 10 varieties in other seasons. The most popular menu in our restaurant is a set of six types of raw oysters directly sent from the catch area. From Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south, the shape differs and the taste becomes a wide range, therefore you can taste the uniqueness in each flavour.
