We at Moriyama is a small Japanese restaurant (kappo) with 5 seats in the quiet residentrial area in Ikebukuro,the west of Tokyo. When you open the slide wood door to enter and put off your shoes, you settle in the comfortable room like "cha-shitsu"(Japanese tea ceremony room). However,you do not have to sit on the floor Japanese style(to kneel on your knees). We hope you relax and enjoy yourself like in your home. We cook domestic and seasonal ingredients with selected seasonings, soy sauce,miso,vinegar and so on to offer good and healthy Japanese traditional dishes. We mill "genmai"(brown rice) from the farm and cook them with a traditional cooker. Miso,umeboshi(pickled plum) and pickles, which are Japanese traditional food, are homemade. Please enjoy a relaxing time with your family and friends at Moriyama. Thank you.
