"Ichifuji" was opened in Wakayama in 1981. We have been loved by many customers for a long time. The restaurant is located 45 minutes from the Kansai international airport and also near the Wakayama station or Wakayama castle. Wakayama is blessed with rich nature and is a treasure house of ingredients. The chef himself goes to the market every morning to select local seafood, vegetables and fruits. Our restaurant has Otoro (very fatty tuna), Awabi (abalone), Uni (sea urchin), Fugu (blowfish) and many a la carte menus that can be tasted only in this area. The second-generation chef trained for 13 years in the Michelin-starred restaurant in Kyoto. After that, he worked as a executive chef at Japanese restaurant in Singapore. And this year he has come back to his hometown, Wakayama. He speaks simple English, so its recommended to customers from overseas.
