Aswar Madaba Restaurant was built over the original house of Awwad Al Salti (Of Al Salt City), it was renovated by his grandsons in his loving memory. He was known as Awwad AlSalti and was famous for his generosity, nobility and kindness, Awwad built this house as his private residence in 1930 and lived in it until his death in 1973.Details

By far this was our best dining experience in Jordan. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. Recommend the hummus and moutabal. Only bum note was the local red wine.
