Trendy and brand new bistro BALTS (means 'white' in Latvian), is a clean, clear concept of speedy, but quality dining. Everything here is conscious and streight-forward - elemental exposed-brick interior puts forward their Asian/European fusion menu: sushi, noodles, salads, soups. Dishes are daily made at the spot, using slow cooking method and are served in takeaway, but fully biodegradable corn fiber dishes. Takeaway dishes doesn't mean you can not dine in. Interior is very welcoming and contemporary. Combine your own day menu (eur 4-7), or stop by for voguish filter coffee or matcha tea to go with your invigorating dessert. I’ve been in this place many times. Every visit is a big respect from me. Usually I take sushi and sandwiches. Great place for take away or quick lunch.
After I relocated to Riga this became one of my favorite places for quick meal or take out. Decent sushi that are simple, but tasty. Salads and desserts nice too. Skip the soups though (are like instant powder package).
We had a nice time in that restaurant. Excellent service with friendly staff and lots of sushi options! We absolutely recommend!
