The restaurant ,,Niklavs" is situated in one of the most popular quarters of Rga's Old Town - at the crossroads of Grcinieku and Mrstau streets, close to St Peter's Church and the ,,Galerija Centrs" shopping arcade. ,,Niklvs" is comfortable and airy. It is dominated by light colours which are interwoven with Latvian traditional elements. The focus of the interior is modernist Latvian art and on display are reproductions of works by Strunke, Padegs and others. Most importantly is its functionality - the centrepiece is a large bar around which are tables of various sizes. There is plenty of space without disturbing other diners. ,,Niklvs" motto is - ,,a place where art flourishes", as the dishes offered are expressions of our Chef's creativity. Our Chef, Sarmte Neimane, demonstrates her individuality through her Classical menus as well as her Latvian menus, where simple dishes such as black pudding or herring are presented in her particular and unusual style. Each month our Chef offers a special menu which reflects the seasonal variations of Latvian products.
