a personal opinion about our experience during this month This villa Clara boutique hotel, restaurant, an old house once, has a one of a kind story behind ita story that goes back in time to two people who have different interests & dreams yet 1 love, combining it together with their expertise, to create this one of a kind, unique place named after their daughter ClaraStarting with the extremely helpful operator while reserving the table The place is amazing for first dates, for anniversaries, it’s cozy atmosphere they have a nice garden, Or a fine dinning business meetingThe vibes are so positive , staff are nice and service was quick, dishes came on time Make sure you take the address correctly, if you haven’t been there before , but the sky-blue color is so hard to miss even at night Seating wise, you feel the privacy of your time as the other tables are not to close and you wont be bothered nor bother anyone as you dine The music and the fire place took us to a different relaxing zone after a long week that being said, moving on to the food, the Chef / owner / father is the french Executive Chef who cooks according to seasons which is a lovely thing, we would love to see him receive 3 Michelin stars They offer a formula, that would work for breakfast / brunch but.. Sharing few plates, confit duck with sautee, lamb plate, frog legs provincial, calamari, Australian fillet All the plates had a simple yet nice presentation, proteins all well cooked, seasoned. It was a great meal & meeting that we had I wish the menu was in English as well, not some one else placing the order for me Prices – way high not your regular visiting place but would not mind a special occasion dinner there , it’s worth it Alcohol prices are sky-high!!
Remarkable set up, friendly service, and good food. The ceviche de crevettes we had were really good with a balanced seasoning but the mix of local herbs in this dish made a pleasant twist in the palate. The confit de canard was one of the best to have well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I loved the crispiness of the outside of the cote de veau blanc although I wished if it was juicier from the inside, it came with an outstanding poivre vert sauce. We had the Fruits rouges desert it comes with a kind of red yoghourt cream with meringue which was average to my taste. The service was fair, the owner was welcoming and greeted us upon our arrival. It is a cozy place especially the fireplace area.
I love Villa Clara location and neighborhood. Amazing staff. Tasty food and great experience. During the day its very calm. And at night is so romantic. Don’t forget to try their desserts!!!
I have attended a wedding there. The experience was great in terms of atmosphere, food and ambience! The place is really cosy and private! I would recommend it. The dishes are special and the dessert as well. It is well decorated.
We spent new year eve there. The service was extremely slow and inefficient. We had to ask for things many times in vain. The food came late and cold without cutlery. We had to wait 1/2 hr for each drink. The “cotillions” which they made us pay for were not enough for everybody and were distributed after midnight. The Dj had a horrible choice of music for such an event. All this for an extremely expensive price. And when we tried to complain about it, the owner was rude. For that price we would have eaten in Paris at a chef étoilé restaurant.
The venue is beautiful and well decorated but the food was not tasty at all and overpriced. The salads were poor, one salad plate contained only lettuce and rocket leaves, another only lentils. The fish fillet was not cooked well and was served with cucumbers which is a bad choice for fish.
Food was below average we had fish, it was tasteless most of the group attending did not finish the plate, service was slow and staff unfriendly, we visited for a corporate Christmas dinner, I will not visut again.
