I placed an order of 5 sandwiches saying i ddnt want cheese in 2 of them but got mine with cheese. When i contacted the restaurant they confirmed the mistake and sent me the correct 2 sandwiches but refused to hand me them unless i gave them back the wrong order. I refused the sent sandwiches of course! Its a shame really Abou Afif is an old classic!
A small place in Hamra. This is the place to go if you want a sandwich on the go. I tried the fransico which is delicious! Make sure to ask for extra soya. The burger is also good. You need 2 sandwiches to fill you up. Overall, good and cheap sandwiches to fill you up. If you are an AUB student or you happen to be in Hamra, try Abou Afif!
Best fatty burger in hamra – the only downfall is that he is super busy and super hard to get ahold of- he also closes once all his sandwiches finish which makes sense however we rarely get ahold of him. I def recommend this – by far great street food found in the back streets of Beirut
I’m sure alot of IC/AUB students can agree that abou afif is a life saver when it comes to a quick, delicious, and cheap lunch. Although I do think that the chefs should use gloves for hygienic reasons. It’s definitely a place that your parents remember from when they were young too.
