being less than a block away we seen Black seed as it came to life a coffee shop, resto-pub , bagel shop all in one very cozy, comfortable seating good vibes and atmosphere besides being in love with black american coffee which was very good chocolate cookie was tasty, melts in your mouth fresh orange juice at a very good temperature scrambled eggs – perfectly done, lacks salt as always in my cases *you can choose between sunny side up – omelettes and scrambled*lollo rosso and cherry tomato both fresh bagel of your choice, tried the olive soft inside with a slighter hard crust on the outside layer olive flavor was obvious and not over powering *plain, sesame, poppy seeds, olive, onion which i would not expect in a bagel, whole wheat, gluten free*im sure there was few more that the waiter mentioned but it is too much to memorize freshly baked dailythe whole formula was at $9 which is considered pocket friendly would give their hot bagel section a try good vibes cozy place service great good verity on the menu prices affordable keep it up

blackseed was so kind as to give us the chance to win a dinner for two and we did! the waiter was so helpful, the food is absolutely delicious and the ambiance is so nice and cozy. i’d love to go there again and try more of their various options!

Cute newly opened bagel coffee shop in hamra! I tried the cold and hot bagels. I loved the hot bagels especially the steak one! Tried the donuts as well, i loved the nutella cinnamon filled one. I also tried the salads, loved the fetta one. Should come back to try the coffee. Lovely ambience and recommended coffee shop.

Really cute setting and ambiance, this cafe could work as a study place, a small resto pub or simply a cafe. The salads are fresh and good, the brownies are to die for and the coffee is great. Very friendly staff. Great job

Went out with a group of friends to Black seed , a newly opened coffee shop in the heart of Hamra .the cafe is based in the GF of the hotel overlooking the streets.the service was good , food was OKAY as some items were good while others were very ordinary.i tried some bagels which were a bit too hard , the donuts were OKAY , the salads were goodi believe it’s a good spot for a quick bite and a cup of coffee rather than a meal follow my buds to Black seed

The very newcomer to Hamra-bliss-AUB area Gathered at Black seed with a group of sweet people from the foodies and SM community over a delectable selection of bagels, champagne, wine, cakes and cookies. The decoration is so nice and seating is comfy on one of the most crowded streets in the capital city. Food tastes good, in particular cakes and cookies, English cakes and peanut butter cookies along with mini muffins,. We had parts of four bagels, halloumi pesto and sun-dried tomatoes, a crazy crab filled bagel ; a cheese and ham, and a burger bagel.Last two were just fine with the right ingredients and sauces, and bagels differ from one order to another some come with olives , some with seeds, making it a very appealing experience .Bagels (the bread) are still on their very new baby steps in the Lebanese market. Baking is maybe different from the ones we have tasted outside the country, yet we are absolutely sure that with some re-dosing and adapted baking these will soon be baked to perfection. To finalize, mood is just perfect and staff are friendly. gsnreviews.wordpress.com

It is a nice place located in Hamra. The decor is beautiful and in theme with the black. The view is to the busy street and is amazing. The staff are very friendly. Ordered a labneh bagel. It tasted good. Recommend this place.
