This place deserves a full 5! It is a hidden gem in the streets of Hamra that has been holding live performances from 1969. Everything about this place is amazing. The design, the ambiance, the food, the staff.. We attended the Jazz night on friday where a lovely band was performing. The food menu is very simple but delicious, we ordered an avocado salad and smoked salmon. And this place has the friendliest staff ever. Will absolutely visit again and again.

Surprisingly an amazing hidden gem in Hamra. From the outside nothing encourages you to gp in. They have a jazz night on friday and an oriental night on saturday. We arrived at 9 30 for the jazz night and they have a very simple but delicious menu along with their drinks. We had the salmon, a salad and broiled mushroom all delicious and flavored to share and Indian curry dish with rice as main. The owner of the place with few waiters they serve you so be patient with the orders but it is worth it. Jazzy and bubbly.
This is one of those places you brag about knowing. Everything about Caravanserail is special, a super friendly welcoming, surprisingly soulful dishes, quality live music, warm atmosphere, honest prices. I recommend booking specially on Fridays (jazz) and Saturday (tarab). One of my alltime favorites.
I made a zomato account just to review this place . Such a unique place hidden in Hamra ! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys great music and great value for their money . The Jazz night on Friday was beautiful. Its a shame this place is not famous , or maybe thats why it has kept its character over the years . The owner has been running the pub for 50 years so you can imagine the stories this place holds .
Totally hidden gem that hasn’t been tainted by the papaz crowd, Caravanserail offered us a wonderful live music experience in an underground old-school supper club vibe. The menu is small and on-point, the drinks are good and priced well, the ambience is surely one to not miss. We went on the first Friday of January and got to enjoy a jazz jam session which is open to any artist wanting to pop in and play. Very cool, very New York.
