We are first timers visiting wimpy. I like the food presentation. We liked the mozarella stick. My friend didn’t like the fajita chicken because avocado is not included. Additionally, I ordered the grilled beef platter but the waiter said it ran out. I don’t eat chicken and I didn’t feel like eating burgers. I would highly appreciate it if there was more grilled beef in the house.

For a place that’s been around since 1968, I wish it was better preserved. Wimpy lacks an identity. If you look at the decoration (in the pictures) you’d imagine a relaxing atmosphere with the kind of old school relaxing music they portray. Whoever, none of that is existent.Wimpy needs a much better marketing & better administration. It has a lot of potential and it’s a shame to waste it.As for the food, the prices are decent and the portions are big. The food tastes good too. The fries are really good but the cocktail sauce wasn’t great. It was just ketchup and mayo, which is not exactly cocktail sauce. The burger (special wimpy burger) is also good, just not great or special. Chicken quesadillas are also decent.Overall, wimpy offers great value for the price. However, it really needs a lot of effort in marketing and more specifically to bring back the identity and the ambiance we would expect from this restaurant.Next year would be wimpy’s 50th anniversary. I hope to see some great improvement in its celebration.
First I wana thx SardonicA for advicing me to visit wimpy.When you say wimpy you will go to 1968 , my father told me it was on the mainstreet of hamra and it was amazing.I entered the place , the decoration is good and remind you of lots of old singers with lots of posters.Yesterday there was an event and a one man show singing but despite the high volume I decided to not leave.The hygiene need improovement , the service needs improovement but despite all that I rated it 4 cz the plates are very well presented and tasty with big portions .I tried chicken ceaser salad the best one, chicken breat and it is great too but shrimp pizza is average cz the pizza sauce is mixed with lots of ketchup.Parking available , prices are low .I enjoyed my experience and i will come again.
I went to this place by chance with a friend. We were looking for a place to eat in Hamra and saw it in a small alley.We ordered salad and chicken chilly sandwich for me and mexican chicken for my friend. Everything tasted good and our waiter was extremely nice and helpful.The only thing i didn’t like is the poor ventilation and as a non smoker I find this disturbing while eating.Prices are relatively cheap.I would visit it again
wimpy was a lebanese legacy resto house! and now became an average shisha cafenot allowed people to ruin this name that have history to lebanon hamra landmark!
