Waitress for some wears reason was so careless and hostile.. maybe she was having a bad day or not getting paid..

Worst service I have ever experienced. The waitress who was assigned to our table was rude to say the least, careless, and not welcoming at all. We were a group, and our friend asked for the bill. That waitress brought her the ATM machine thing, and seemed to criticize the amount that was being left as tips, and charged on the debit card. She said in a loud voice in front of us all: you are leaving xx only? Embarrassing, and not even fair, as tips were left separately as cash. I dont think we are ever going back.

Bread Republic Ashrafieh. This is the canteen of all the achrafiyots. It’s more for the gathering than for the food and service. Actually I was invited there. Wasn’t really impressed by the food nor the service.

See it rather as a relatively cosy wine bar (with very expensive glasses nonetheless – around 15000LL / glass) than a nice italian restaurant or whatever it is supposed to be.Maybe because I’m part Italian, I’m even more disappointed but honestly, pizza is very small and tastes like an Alsacien Flammkuche, my friend’s pasta al salsa verde were tasteless and the portion tiiiiny, smaller even than a primo size. Was also surprised by the size of my can, 150ML – are we on a plane or something? Service: not very kind. I asked for no ice, got ice, then asked for another glass, they also had removed the lemon – I let it go cause the waitress seemed stressed and not exactly happy to be there. Our friend was celebrating his birthday and we planned a surprised cake for him – surprised that got ruined when they put 10 plates in front of him – just a little subtlety would have been nice.Overall my main concern was the size of the dishes – everyone had to ask for bread and butter to fill their empty stomachs at the end of the meal. One good point, the feta stuffed baby calamari were good.

We went there for an early dinner. We had their pumpkin soupe and lentilles soupe with olive bread on the side. What we love about this place is the location and the food.

I am disappointed because I expected to be a restaurant it is not.We sat and waited quite a while before our starter came with my main dish I finished my plate and still my husband meal wasn’t served yet. They own a bakery for god’s sake bread should be served at least ! The food was not bad as a total experience I give it 3.
