It is a landmark in Achrafieh. The food is steadily fine. It is perfect for lunch and/ or for diner. The service is always welcoming. The choice in alcohol is good. This is a restaurant that understands that the distance between tables is important. Even the choice and loudness of music is smart
I definitely recommend this place, perfect for a business lunch, dinner or family gathering. The menu is diverse and super tasty. Must try their merguez, escalope milanaise, truffled pasta and risotto
Excellent and friendly service who are not shy about jumping in with suggestions and recommendations. The venue is cosy and home style with adorable anecdotes from the restaurant’s long history.DO TRY: the shrimp dumplings. They’re steamy, but not exceptional.NO NEED FOR: the grilled chicken as it was slightly dry.The sweet chilli calamari was ok, but I would opt for grilled next time as the frying didn’t do much for the flavour. The beef in thyme sauce is apparently a speciality and was quite good!Overall, you can feel a special vibe in this place due to its long history, but the food could be improved to truly make it remarkable. Recommended for couples and small groups.
40 years later, this place is still on! Visited this place few years back, the food was delicious, experienced staff, perfect. Tried it a few days ago, the service was slow, the waiters were busy helping a birthday party in the outdoor area. Our dessert came before both coffee and tea, the pain perdu came cold and thats bad..Never underestimate your clients for other ones.
One of the very few restaurants where everything we ordered could take a 5 star rating. The veal a limone is truly the best in town, I have tried so many yet none better than this. Crab salad and the eggplant Milanese were amazing. Loved everything about this restaurant, a bit overpriced, but so worth it.
