If you don’t like communists… do not go there! hahahaSeriously the place looks amazing; like a tiny museum about communism. Having arak and freshly cut apples was an amazing experience. I recommend!
I can’t believe i haven’t written a review for Red Night yet! Em Elias pub is my ALL TIME FAV pub in Lebanon.Everything about this place is spot on- Concept: it is a communist pub, basically the decor is a bunch of small pictures related to the concept glued to the wall. They also have old rifles, flags, articles, old currencies, etc.- Ambience: they only play good old arabic music; Marcel Khalife, Ziad Rehbani, Fairuz, Sabah, etc. They have few tables and a bar where you can spend hours with your friends talking or playing tawle- Service: Em Elias runs the place. She has everything under control. Before, i used to love Charlotte the bartender but now she left. However the service is still amazing.- Food: they have selective drinks that all taste great. You also get a tray that has lemon with spices, bzourat, termos, and fruit with a knife. It’s everything you would want with a drink!Recently i tried the food there and it’s purely homemade which makes it amazing. We got a cheese sandwich heated on the seb (which is very lebanese) with vegetables. And batata harra. Great options for a chill dinner.- Prices: JUST LIKE IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE. Nothing unreasonable. The cheapest most logical prices (for food and drinks)Everytime I’m in a mood a simple nice night out, Red Night is my number 1 choice!
Abou Elie is my favorite place in Hamra, where I feel the most comfortable and happy! Its revolutionary spirit is palpable; with the portraits of Che Guevara and Lenin at the entrance! The decoration is amazing! Its a little and so simple pub that fills ur heart with big things!
One of the greatest and most enjoyable pubs in beirut. The atmosphere was really great. The staff were too friendly and the prices were affordable. I highlyyyyy recommend it. wordpress.com
