High quality and well presented menu. Serves for a private dinner or a celebration. All is well set and well prepared . No surprises and its a safe choice for a 5 star treat.
The location is cute, yet the service is bad, food is average, yet i can not resist the bread pudding its by far my favorite one. The salads are good yet very small. In general i would definitely recommend the bread pudding its perfect
A classic that has been on my list for a while. At last we tried it and had the night menu which has a more affordable approach. The place is beautifully decorated and the service is just impeccable and friendly. My first course was the eggplant mozarella layered tower that was succulent. It was very heavy but worth every bite. The second course was two mini burgers. They are delicious especially the caramelized onions and the crusty bun. I think the panna cotta for dessert summed it up for me. The red berries coulis was just divine and you can see the small bits of vamills at the bottom of the serving cup. I had the chance to nibble a piece of the chicken with curcuma. It’s a blessing and worth going again just for it.
Amazing quality food excellent service excellent quality excellent a real pleasure every time i got here i was surprisingly happy and satisfied and it’s the closest you can get to a good brasserie in paris it’s still the best french restaurant in lebanon There is Balthus and The others
Beautiful restaurant for a cozy dinner, the staff are very friendly but are a bit all over the place, we had 3 different waiters approach us to take the order back to back. the restaurant is not vegan friendly at all, and we are currently on detox month., so no dairy etc..The waiters aren’t aware of how to help a customer in this case, not sure they knew what were the ingredients of the dishes. We were very limited with the options and the only 2 dishes we could order were the quinoa salad and a mushroom starter. We had our sight on the eggplant pasta dish, and when asked if we could have it without butter, the answer was no, as it was pre cooked. Some of the restaurants we been to were kind enough to prepare the dish without an ingredient, even if it was pre cooked. Seen balthus on that night had only 2 other tables, you’d think the chef would make the extra small effort.Needless to say, we left hungry, but had a good pinot noir bottle!
We have tasted several starters. The best were the beetroot salad and eggplant millefeuille. All the main dishes that we have ordered were tasty including the chicken paillard, the cote de boeuf, the shrimps and the beef escalope. I also loved the sauce which accompany the chicken paillard since it contains a mixture of mango and pepper. The desserts were good from the millefeuille, to the cheesecake, fondant, pain perdu and the delicious carahuete ice cream dish. But one thing about carhuete is that I was expecting pop corn but i couldn’t find it. The waiters should be more formal in my opinion and customers should be greated at the entrance before getting upstairs. As a whole it was a very good experience.
