Us and some friends gathered on a Saturday night at Joe Peña’s. From the moment we stepped in, we were really well received: first of all, the outdoor setting is amazing and gets you in the Mexican mood. The location of this bar is good, in the heart of Mar Mikhael. The staff was so friendly that the waitress came and danced with us a bit!! About the food, we ordered some nachos, sticky fingers, fajitas, guacamole and pizzas. The whole food was exquisite. One thing that particularly amazed us was the way they did their best to accommodate the food so that our vegan friend could enjoy it too. We ordered drinks that were really good: pina colada, 2 calincas, a mango/passionfruit daiquiri, a gin drink (we don’t know what it was exactly) and so on. They were all excellent and we had a really good time. Recommended!!!
Very delicious dinner I had at Joe Peña this evening with some friends. The food tasted really good and the place really exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and the manager moved us to sit inside after we complained that it was very hot outside. Highly recommended

I always walk past this restaurant and think that I want to try it. Not because of the food or drinks but because of its outdoor setting: the greenery along the walls and the low and high tables. I just knew that coming to this place at night would make me feel as if I was outside of Lebanon. And it’s true! I went there last night for the first time and I felt like I was in Barcelona or Mexico. The lighting is really nice (though not ideal for pictures), the music selection was really good and wasn’t so loud to the point where we couldn’t talk. I’m not sure how this place fares in terms of food, but 2 of my friends ordered Almaza beers (I think that 10,000LL for each is too much :o), and I got the Fruit Cocktail (if you like sweet and tropical tasting virgin drinks, then I highly recommend this one!). We also got the chips with guacamole sauce and they were absolutely delicious! I was already full from a late lunch I’d had a couple of hours before but I couldn’t stop myself for digging into them. I really loved the atmosphere and I would love to come here again!
