A really nice and exotic place to have freshly made and served Japanese food items. The sushi is always fresh, the staff is friendly and professional, the service is prompt and punctual and hygiene is optimal too.

Exquisite Omakase experience at Mayha, from the first to the last course (in the set 20-25 course menu). Extremely fresh and select ingredients based on what is available in the seafood season. Totally recommended!

We went to Mayha for dinner last night and what a memorable dining experience it was! This is simply the best Omakase in Beirut – nothing else even comes close. Mayha is in the same league as some of the finest Omakase restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining at in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and Tokyo. This intimate dining experience (limited to 12 guests) is outstanding from the moment you are greeted by the Hostess to the time you reluctantly leave so the staff can go home well after midnight (we chose the 9:30 pm seating). The Chefs are entertaining and extremely skilled in their preparation and presentation of different menu items, each of which is made with the freshest ingredients and beautifully served in front of you. In addition to the exceptional food, the selection of Sake’s is the best I have come across in a long time, with some distinctive and amazing bottles that are rare and very hard to find. Mayha has redefined the Japanese dining scene in Beirut and is a welcome addition for serious foodies in search of a sanctuary of fine dining. We loved it so much that we reserved our seats for next week and are eagerly anticipating our next dinner there!

Superb lunch. This is a genuine experience on both the food level and the chef’s presence. Dawid is not only talented but also a very friendly, knowledgeable and a great host. We loved the reception, the setting and the selection of the menu. Perfection!!!

I loved my experience.I found the price REASONABLE for the QUALITY of food i was being served. For those claiming this place is overpriced A- keep in mind no one is forcing you to go and pay those prices B-the concept of OMAKSE is expensive because the whole experience involves a chef preparing food for you on the spot with high quality ingredients C- unless you havent noticed that we arent in Japan and do not lie in the Pacific Ocean, then you can also notice that all the produce has to be imported and the restaurant has to factor that into prices.I loved it and found the lunch menu as good value for money, have yet to try dinner.

If you are looking for a once in a lifetime food experience then check your wallet, grab your phone and make a reservation here todayDon’t expect a 100 piece sushi wooden boat, with fake grass and generic soy sauce. What Mayha offers is an omakase experience in a beautifully decorated space, with only 12 seats available. The concept behind omakase is the chef preparing dishes with no food menu for you to choose from. (Mayha does ask ahead of time if you have preferences or allergies.) The chef is right there to explain flavors and the dishes and is more than happy to answer any questions. The phenomenal 19 courses consist of broth, soup, sashimi, and nigiri and (we also had 1 phenomenal wagyu dish, but it depends on availability). The chef also serves 3 of his own soy sauce concoctions, varying from salty to sweet which he pairs perfectly with the different fish. Compared to restaurants in Paris, London and NYC, Mayha offers some of the best sushi dishes and experiences. Be prepared though, the price tag is the highest I’ve seen here BUT, for this type of experience, quality of fish, and flavors.. totally worth it.
