The place is nice but the bartender is a thief. I went there on a Saturday night, it was very busy. I ordered two gin tonics at the bar and paid with a 50.000LL bill. The bartender (a bold guy who later said his name was Chris) told me that it was ok (without giving me any VAT receipt), so I thought it was a very expensive place (and I didn’t think about the receipt). When I went outside, my friend told me that I was supposed to have some change back because it is impossibile that a gin tonic costs 25.000LL in Mar Mikhayel. I understood that the guy at the bar tried to steal from me. So I went inside again and asked him for a menu to check the prices. He refused give me one, so I told him that I was supposed to get more change from the 50.000 I gave him before. He took a bill holder from a pile, next to the cash register, checked in it and gave it to me. There were 15.000LL inside, with no VAT receipt. Only the money. He made me believe that I forgot my change. Of course that was not my change, because I later checked the menu with a waiter outside and found out that no cocktail with gin costed 17.500LL. That pile of bill holders was probably all the money stolen from the customers at The Bohemian that night. Then the guy came outside and tried to make me believe that it was my mistake because I left without taking my change. I insisted that he tried to steal from me and that I would have written a bad review about him, so he cursed at me in Arabic and left. So here is the review, however I should have called the police.

My favorite pub, original decoration, great music and super friendly staff and manager. The food is nice and their drinks are tasty and perfectly prepared.
I didn’t visit the pub, i was sitting above it when i saw one of the staff throwing a beer bottle that didnt hit the trash outside, instead of picking it up he left it on the floor, it wasn’t even during busy hours. It is sad to see people fighting to remove trash of the streets and other who don’t really care.
This place is the best in mar mkhayel!You can enjoy the music and dance, and mingle with your friends as well.Staff are very nice and helpful.The place is always full so it’s better to reserve your table before.Highly recommended!
