I heard a lot about this place. I loved the cozy ambiance of this place. Gives off a vintage feel – can get a bit creepy if you’re the only table there. They should seriously consider getting more iced drinks. Their cappuccino is really good. Their chocolate cake is amazing. Their coconut and chocolate chip cookies are highly recommended. I just wish that they have more variety. Another thing, the cake slice is a bit overpriced. Overall, a nice place for coffee and dessert. omnomnivorelb.wordpress.com

I wanted to try their truffles but there was no truffles anymore. I tried the cookie instead. The coconut cookies were so delcious. The chocolate chip cookie was so good. The chocolate cake was good tasting. This is a place to visit if you are looking for a sweet bite.
هاي، انا ما بعرفكم وبالصدفة شفت اسم المحل اونلاين. بس اسم محلكم وشو بتقدمه فيه بيعنيلي مباشرةً. ماما اسمها عفاف. كان عندها حلم تفتح محل تبيع فيه خبز وحلو وأكل من لي هي بتعملن. كانت تعمل بالبيت أشكال خبز وحلو عجيب غريب. عاشت ١٠ سنين بفرنسا وبس صار معها وقت بالبيت صارت تعملنا الخبز الفرنسي وتخترع هي نكهات واشكال. الاكل كان لحظات سعيدة بتعيشها مع المطبخ تتهرب من واقع ما كان حلو. ب تشرين الاول ٢٠١٧ اكتشفت الماما انو معها سرطان.و بهالفترة فكرة هيدا المحل كان من الشغلات لي كانت مخليتها عايشة بأمل حلو انو ممكن شي نهار تصح وتقدر تفتح بمنطقة مار مخايل-جميزة تحديداً وترجع تعملنا وتعمل للناس الأكل لي كانت تتفنن فيه وتحط كل مخيلتها وطاقتها وحنانها تنتلذذ فيه. بتاريخ ١٤ حزيران ٢٠١٨ راحت الماما وراح حلمها معها. انا كتير افرحت بس شفت انو محلكم اسمه عفاف. هلق رح قول للناس تروح تاكل بمطعم الماما. ما بعرف مين كان صاحب الفكرة بس شكراً لأنكم عملتو هيدا المطعم وبلا ما تعرفو خليتو هالفكرة الحلوة يصير اسمها مطعم عفاف.
Very funky and kitsch place. The decor is a mix and match of different items and materials that make you feel the place has been done involuntarily but in fact everything has been laid in place carefully and for a reason. The kitchen is a nice addition and would be nice to see the baking process.The desserts look nice. We had the chocolate cake. It was nice and fluffy. We asked for cold drinks but unfortunately they only had perrier. It would have been nice to have some lemonades, juices or milkshakes.
I think the date cake they had is one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. It was mushy and soft and delicious, the cookies were also good. A little bit overpriced for the serving sizes.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the amazing interior of this coffee shop? It is to die for! I could literally spend hours and hours if not days in this place! The atmosphere is so relaxing, very welcoming and the attention put in details is just astonishing!A hidden gem in Gemmayze, where you can enjoy your coffee or tea with delicious cookies and homemade desserts with your friends or date.
Found this place by mistake. It has a sweet story behind it. For the designers out there, you must pay a visit and check the decor.The owners are very friendly, very delicious home made deserts / not too sweet.I would definitely come back.Food: 4/5.Ambience: 5/5.Overall: 4.5/5.
