Couqley is always a good choice. My personal favorite dishes: Steak et frites with mushroom sauce and the pain perdu dessert. It’s a small place that gets the aspect of french cuisine so well.
Totally your go to place for a romantic date on a rainy day. The outdoor seating is as great as the inside. The staff are friendly and polite, the warm goat salad is spectacular, and the filet de boeuf out of the world! Best enjoyed with their specialty couqley sauce. Even their room temperature and warm olive bread is to die for! Very much in love with this place ❤️
What a beautiful and cozy branch of Couqley! The staff is very professional and friendly. The service was quick enough. I loved the steak et frites with mushroom sauce and the chicken tagliatelle was heavenly. Also, the pain perdu also shocks me at how good it is! Love this place. omnomnivorelb.wordpress.com
Ordered the steak frites with mushroom sauce and the duck. The Australian beef was amazing, and the meat is perfect as well as the sauce. If you’re a fan of roquefort, order the dressing and dip in the sauce, perfect combination. It was the first time for me trying the duck. The meat is juicy and tender. The marination is just waw. Portion I must say is a bit small.
Couqley is a nice french Bistrot in the hidden Alleyway of Gemmayze. The staff is very professional and the service is quick. The food quality is on point, as well as the presentation. My weakness is the pain perdu. Small remark: the sauce wasn’t as good as before with a lot of pepper in it.
Over all experience it was good, waiters are helpful and the service was fast, only that when it came to removing the dishes it was a little slow; even though the restaurant wasn’t packed. The steak was seriously good and the fries ouf! The chicken tho was tasteless and mundane, the pasta was that dish’s hit. It’s good for a small date.
This was my first time visiting this branch of Couqley. I usually go to the Dbayeh branch. This one is smaller, but the service and food are as good.We went there just to have their Pain Perdu. It is the best pain perdu I ever had. I tried one at a very good place in Paris, and it is not even close to being as good as this one. It is sweet, but not too sweet, a perfect combination of flavors.I love it.
