I am posting this comment live from Samra. I’ve been waiting for 40 mins for a Zaatar man2ousheh. After reminding the waiter many times, the man2ousheh was finally served COLD and the dough still white and not even well cooked.Very horrible experience. Not going to come back anytime soon.
I visitted Samra 2 Sundays ago with my family. The atmosphere was okay it resembled an old school lebanese style however we could not get rid of flies and insects bothering us every 2seconds. As for the food it was really not that special. The pizza came in without any taste it was like eating a plain dough. The chicken shawarma was palatable. As for the rest of the food we ordered it was very okay and nothing extraordinary at all. finally we ordered an oreo milkshake that came with the taste of nesquike and no oreo taste whatsoever. We had a bad experience and i wouldnt recommend Samra as a place to head to for lunch
The place is nicely decorated, i have tried it twice, first time we ordered fatoush and fries the food was great and the shisha was excellent even they change it 3 times for free. My second visit wasn’t the best, the shisha had no flavor we asked to change it twice. The food was terrible, ordered a burger plate and my friend ordered the tablye tawouk. The food wasn’t good but didn’t want to complain about so that they don’t offer additional food. The manager came and asked us our review about the food we end up telling him so he was like you won’t leave unless satisfied. So he ends up bringing us 2 small tawouk sandwiches, we didn’t bother bringing the same burger but with better taste.
i’ve been at this restaurant so many times but yesterday was different, me and my friend ordered two pasta plate and a side of french fries, the pasta had too much garlic dices and also tasted toooo much garlic, but too bad no one came to take a feed back and the manager kept on rolling around doing nothing, they lack the steps of service, the waitress was polite.
Was there for iftar with friends , the food taste was good but the service was unprofessional at all , the waiter serving our table was not friendly . And the food portion was too small. Not recommended
Lovely cafe with a lovely ambience. Comfortable place and friendly staff. Tried some of the Lebanese mezza, it was good. Gets crowded on football nights, but sound isn’t very clear. Recommended.
