I was shocked during my last visit to Top Saj. Nothing like before! A total failure. It used to be the best place on Faraya round-about. We arrived and we felt like nobody’s doing saj or anything else. No menu and no recommendations for us. We ordered a Keshek and a Bayd Bi Awarma. Ugly presentation. Not appealing at all. Dirty tables and chairs. Nobody cares about cleaning them. The taste is bad and it is clear that raw materials are not fresh. I don’t recommend Top Saj anymore. Go to nearby Saj places.
Good Saj place even if I would definetly give the edge to saj mema its closest competitor. The owner is friendly and easygoing. The service is a bit slow and the choice of ingredient could be of higher quality. You get what you pay for at least.
This place is just top notch for hungry skiers ! Every ski season, I find myself having lunch at this place. I don’t like to eat at fancy pansy places when on a ski journey and neither like the restaurants d’altitude on the ski slopes : bad and super overpriced food !We go for local businesses like this family store ! I just love it 🙂 The owners are awesome and generous. We usually have a huge lunch there, where we order pizzaaaa and some specialties that the owner came up with. All this accompanied by some freshly squeezed oranges mixed with bloody orange (la perfection) and of course a bottle of wine and some nuts bought from the store also to keep us busy and warm.Try it ! 🙂
The Saj place has been renovated and expanded for better dine in. I always go for their Jebne with semsoum on top and a Labneh extra (fresh vegetables). Loved their dough. Don’t forget to purchase your beverage from their store while waiting for your saj.
