Sucre è Levain serves *amazing* pastries with the finest ingredients. I’ve tried most of their items and all of them are delicious and worked on carefully. If you ever look for a good dessert, it’s worth the drive. I particularly recommend la Tarte au Citron, it’s one of my favorites. You can even order their Bûche de Noël during Christmas, they’re not to be missed!! As for their baguettes, they are the best I’ve had in Lebanon. They’re truly french baguettes. All in all, if I lived closer to this place I’d be a regular customer!

Why 5 stars? Allow me to explain and help you. I took my first bite from their baguette and realized it was as if that bite transported me to the best baguettes i have had in France. The tartes and specialty cakes were mesmerizing in taste. I have to say this is the best patisserie as they continue to fine-tune the offerings and the spot. If you have not tried their hand-made ice creams, try the pine-nuts ice cream. It is to die for. Only drawback I see here is the items are NOT cheap at all, in fact, quite expensive so its for the Lebanese who have the $ to spend that will frequent this spot. But I think we have a winner here. Excellent.

I was among the first to try out the place as it has a catchy name. My target was the croissants, i took one cheese, one zaatar and one chocolate. I liked the taste and crsipiness and smell however the oiliness or excess butter was dominant and gives you a feeling of extreme guilt, in addition to a dominant taste for the butter. From a personal opinion, I recommend to finetune this aspect as the quality was nice and place has potential.
